HISTORY

Jaime studied Agribusiness Management in Medellin, Antioquia. As internship, Jaime chose to go to Arbelaez, Cundinamarca to his uncle’s farm. Although it was mainly a cattle farm, he wanted to try something radically different and a coffee pilot project was born.

After getting his degree, instead of leaving the project he decided to stay and grow it as a business. Currently Jaime is a leader in the coffee community and El Mirador is a model for the other members of the ASOCARS association.

With his coffee neighbors they created ASOCARS, a coffee cooperative that promove the use of new technologies in the farms to achieve coffee consistency and improve production. Located in San Miguel rural zone, El Mirador has 8 hectares in total and 7.5 are dedicated to coffee.
